tonight after you have traveled 160 mile to get here.

No that’s not happening, you have a run first light then off to Germany.
“Not in that shed I ain’t mate, and I see you have another 12 Scanias sitting
All the same at 18.30 hrs waiting for mugs to drive”

“I’ll take this one on the chin and warn my fellow drivers about this

So nothing to do with agencies but rather than their preference of truck rather than yours. Couldn’t off needed the job much, or indeed the pay !
Would you blame them for putting a new, untested, perhaps untrustworthy driver in the best in the fleet. Come back from the first run with the truck in one piece and you not taking the ■■■■ out of them and next time you may have got a better truck. The reality or work and business conflicting the great british work ethic.
No not the small matter of the truck made me about turn. As stated above.
Someone asked what was offered, so I politely replied.
Do I need the money? Did I mention a rate!
I’m self employed and do very well with what I have achieved so far.
I’m not complaining only putting this across so others don’t fall for it.

I used to pull a fully freighted fridge down to Italy every week in a standard cabbed 360 DAF 85 and had a whale of a time, and you’re moaning about spending one night in a Scania??
What is it with people these days? I’d have a ford D series if the money was decent.
Unless you’re buying the truck and paying for the running of it you take what is offered. As long as it is safe, legal and roadworthy and if nighting out in it not full of crap then you don’t really have much right to start dictating.
Only reason you get work D5UPE is because they’re desperate.
