Noticed that several (if not, many) agencies leave ads on their website for long filled jobs. What is the point of this? One advertiser on here is terrible for this, advertising for stuff with a closing date of October.
If you’re not paying per day for advertising, then there’s no interest in advertisers cleaning up their mess afterwoulds I would imagine.
Hard drive space on servers is pennies for gigabytes these days, so everything on line remains out there - for years and years.
There’s still stuff floating around pertaining to me from the late 1980 onwards for instance…
Assuming that most people consider what I write to be guff 99% of the time (since I’ve never been a paid “pro” writer) one has to assume that even “pennies” is a gross overestimate of how much server space costs today.

Recruitment agencies advertise here
Thank you AdBlocker Plus for hiding such [zb] from me
^^^^ - So they do!
On-screen banner ads don’t register in my peripheral vision, so you could leave me a message inside a banner box, and it would have gone in one eye, and out the other!
From what I have experienced lately, the agencies do this in the hope you contact them about the out of date job which will usually be one with the best rates, start times, etc. Then when you have signed up they tell you they don’t have any work on that contract at the moment or they will get you in asap! Of course this very rarely happens and you end up working for less on a job you didn’t apply for, but thats how they work! Lowlife thieving crooks all of them!{not that I’m bitter or anything}!
They just advertise non existant vacancys to increase their driver pool …just incase they have sudden increase in demand for work from their penny pinching clients.
p.s their all crooks and bull sh**ters.
