Driver hours am getting worried over and heading out this evening for first time.
If likes of ireland to england work.
Where im driving in ireland starting off going to get boat driving for 2 hours.
Then im on 3 and half hour boat sailing where im over 3 hours rest.
When i get of holyhead heading down south area in england many hours can i drive when i start off from holyhead to my next break?
Frist time back in driving and this part is confusing me when there ferry crossings in it.
depends if you want to use the 3hr as split daily rest or driving break - by law a break and a rest are different.
BUT, Personally, I’d just bang it on bed for 3hrs, and drive another 4.5 AND count it as part of my split daily rest, and I’ve never been picked up on doing that, but that’d be your choice.

no. i didn’t think i had to add the bit about stopping for a break.

i will admit, i didn’t realise he’d asked how long he can drive before needing a break. i thought he had asked how long he had left to drive. but anyone with any sense would have noticed this.
