advice please

I have had my class 2 since summer 2012 and drove anything from 7.5 tonne to 18 tonne since then no problems
I have had my class 1 since aug 2014 and I’m looking for work with class 1 and struggling . I have 7 points which was motorbike related which has been sold and the three year period is up next april for the points.

Any heads up on how I can get a class one bearing in mind I got one minor on my test the examiner said I was a very well driven.

Just want to get on the open road someone help lol

Get that license replaced as soon as the points are spent. Not sure if its 4 years for DVLA purposes to send you a clean sheet.

At least that way (assuming you don’t collect any more),you will soon have a nice clean license for agencys/companies to photocopy.

Only other advice I can give is,dont eat yellow snow.

I’m afraid that even though they’re spent after three years the points will stay on your licence for four years :frowning:

Seven points on your licence is always going to be a drawback when looking for work, I’m afraid all you can do is keep plodding away and hope you find something, tenacity is the name of the game

Cheers guys .

Just want a start so can earn money and get stuck in

Good luck finding a job. Most insurance companies demand drivers have 6pts or less, so haulage companies have little choice but to turn you away.

It doesnt matter what your driving is like now, its a statistics game, more points = bigger risk. Im not trying to get you down, someone will give you a job, although I doubt it will be one of the best. Experience is the key though, doesnt matter where you get it from.

Spend a couple of days going and knocking on doors, best way possible to get yourself a job.
