hi, im about to start doing nights out and need some advice on how to wire stuff up.
I need at least a cool box, kettle and at some point a telly.
I drive a scanny 4 series and am confused about what plugs go where and how long i can leave things on for eg the cool box.
all this 24 and 12v and different amps and watts thing is doing my head in!!!

My coolbox runs 24/7 from the 12v hella socket.
Telly and DVD player run from a 150 watt inverter powered from the 24v cig socket. I have no problem running these 3-4 hours some nights.
Your kettle will be either 24v or 12v and would need to be plugged into the appropriate socket. The kettle is probably the only item that uses enough amps to cause problems if your not carefull. The best socket to plug it into would be the hella socket (the small one). Ask one of your other drivers what voltage it is before buying the kettle. Hope this helps and makes sense
