ADR training in or around Derby?

Can anyone recommend any decent companies for the above?

I only need the flammable bulk liquids module.

Hi lee172,

I’m not sure how much you know about ADR courses, but there’s no such module as what you’re asking.

I’m having to guess a little here, but to get an ADR licence for what I think you want, you’d need to do a ‘core’ module first. (1.5 days tuition)

Then you decide whether you’re going to carry said flammable liquids in some kind of package(s) or some kind of tank.
The packages module is either 1.5hrs or 2.25hrs tuition, depending on how the provider has timetabled it.
The tanks module is 7.5hrs tuition.

Then you need to do the Class 3 module, which is approx. 1.5hrs tuition.

ADR providers usually work to fairly similar timetables, so my guess is that you’ll be coming and going at various times over approx. 4 days out of a standard 5day course in order to do the modules you want.

:bulb: It might be an idea to consider being there for the whole course in order to get periodic DCPC hours, but if you take that choice, you can still stick to your plan for your ADR licence. It will probably work out cheaper for you if you kill two birds with one stone in that way. Just a thought.

Then you’ll need to do three exams.

The next thing that you might need to consider is… if your job will entail loading a tanker in a refinery, you might need to do PDP.

It would be helpful if you’d say what kind of distance you’d be prepared to travel each day to a course, because I’d be able to give you some relevant contact details for ADR providers.

Give it some thought?
