tonka236:
I assume that price with with JMD? If so I shall ring them again tomorrow as I was quoted more than that (granted not by much but every little helps)
Maybe one was quoted with dcpc and the other without ?
Although you are probably right, I thought i would be social able for once and assumed the OP is sensible enough to use the ADR towards the CPC but I await on confirmation from the said intelligent gentleman!
ETA: cos DD is obviously a ninja!!
The price i was quoted was Core Packs and Seven UN Classes, and the Tanks (I have a good boss who is willing to pay for it )
Prices did include VAT but also an extra upload fee for CPC.
In all honesty im only arguing over £50 tops but im a tight so and so (i blame the last person i worked for )
Sorry Rob for hijacking this a bit… I will behave at some point!!

Hi tonka236,
I can tell you that JMD are running a 5 day ADR course in W/C 14th Jan and that there are 21 DCPC hours available for it if you wish.
If you already have some DCPC hours under your belt, then you can split the course up as either 7, 14 or 21 hours as you wish and only pay for what you need.
Hi has does anyone know of a good training company for taking the ADR qualifications. I am based in Sheffield?

Hi All,
I was thinking of taking my full ADR in Tanks and everything in the New Year !
Is it going to be worth it and is it hard to get onto Tankers …
Your advise would be greatly appreciated

I am a bit late replying to this thread and all the points have been covered. Almost.
I have often seen posts saying. Hello I have just passed my test and want to drive fuel tankers.
Well we all do!
There is one thing that I will point out about ADR, you will be no wiser about discharging or purging a road tank after 5 days in a classroom, you may be lucky to get a 10 minute walk round if you take it with a tanker operator at break time.
There are several opportunities to drive tankers on non ADR work, food, feed, foul & milk. It is only then you will learn how a tank operates and how to operate and clean one properly.
Do a couple of years on tankwork, see if you like it, then spend some money on ADR
