Is there a product/company that requires the ‘full ADR’ spec or is it for ‘road barrels’ running ADR? We regularly carry 3 & 6 in ISO tanks and don’t have any vehicles to full ADR spec but I note that all of Suttons & Hoyer’s are fully specced, (I see them regularly in one of the companies we work out of) even the ones that only ever pull skelly trailers.

It is probably easier to prep every motor in the fleet before they go on the road rather than have to bugger about later and get them rebooked for ADR with VOSA as the market changes, obviously a food spec tanker wont be used on ADR unless it is Ethanol or the like.

Well not these days anyway

That’s very true Malc, and here is a non-exhaustive selection of a few other edible/drinkable dangerous goods that might be carried in tankers…

UN 1170 ETHANOL
UN 1197 EXTRACTS, FLAVOURING, LIQUID
UN 1805 PHOSPHORIC ACID
UN 2187 CARBON DIOXIDE, REFRIGERATED LIQUID
UN 2789 ACETIC ACID
UN 3065 ALCOHOL
