One for “Diesel dave” as the new regs are coming in force in June this year, as we carry absorbent grit as part of our “Spill Kit” will we still be obliged to carry a “Rubber Drain Cover Mat” as well and also are there specific sizes of mat/s required?
Many Thanks
P.S. Dave I will get round to the meeting I asked you about before xmas last year!!!

Hi NEJ, One small point first…
The new Regs are supposed to be coming out on 01/07/09, but I wouldn’t hold my breath because they’ve been late on more than one occasion before.
When the new Regs come out, I anticipate that there might be a reference to the new document designed to replace a “Tremcard.”
If this happens, there’s nothing specified as to the material or size of the drain cover.
I’d advise against a rubber drain cover though, because of possible chemical reactions with different substances.
I’d suggest that a plastic drain cover would be best.

I’m told that it’s easier to get an appointment to see the Pope…

Point taken Dave and “The Pope” will be contacting you in the near future to arrange the meeting possibly just after the easter break with a sample of the “New” tremcard which incidentally I think is absolutely useless
