Does anybody have any experience working for this agency? Been asked to go in for a chat/ interview type thing just wondering if anyone could give me any heads up beforehand or whether to stay clear?
If it’s anything like the one in bellshill or is this one then give it a miss the worst agency ever worked for
signed up years ago, burnley think it was, after telling them what i wanted they rang me later that night with night work at asda this wasnt what i wanted but said ok, went on me way and near dallam lane when they called to cancel but said he had a 6am start i said ok will i get paid for fuel ive just wasted he said no, then so did i, that was the end of that, its an agency like the rest theyre leeches
The one at alfreton are useless to, got to many a shift to be told I wasn’t needed and wouldn’t be paid or calls 30 mins before shift being cancelled and they’d just given my shift to someone else. Hope they go bust.
Couldn’t recommend the one at Aycliffe. Ran by a numpty. But it depends on the people in the individual office.I’m sure there’s good and bad.
As a national company they’re ok, they supplied free DCPC for us regulars although because of getting cancelled too many times, which happens all the time in retail work, I’ve moved on to a better place. Where they have little to do with retail.
I think i will swerve this one i have a couple of interviews in the pipeline anyway!
Problem with ADR is they seem to only have sole supply contract. They have to supply what the customer wants. Customer gives them the requirement at 12 on the day before for one of Alfretons customers this ranges from 20 to 55 drivers…
So ADR need to have 55 drivers signed on to cover there agreement to meet the customers demand. They havent got other work to move you onto.
When they cant filll the demand they farm out the work to other agencies, hence why you get some other agencies in other places.
If you sign on with ADR you will need another agencie to help fill your down days…
Got offered a “12 hour contract” at Sittingbourne branch.
This, turned out to be tuesday & wednesday 6am-1pm (one hour deducted for meal break from such a short shift!) at Morrisons, Sittingbourne, Iceland Enfield, or NISA/Tesco Ambient out of Thurrock.
Pay for those particular shifts was sub-£10ph so I said “I only came here, because you were touting £14ph for weekend work - which is all I want out of you”.
Then got offered a shift at iceland - I said “What rate”? - Got told “ooh. I dunno. I’ll get back to you on that”.
I refused. Got offered a £50 bonus to go. I asked for that in writing. Not done, so I refused again.
That was the last time I was offerered any work by them - some two years since.
USELESS agency.
Sooner or later their clients are going to realise that it would be easier to get fills from agencies that don’t habutually ■■■■ their drivers about on everything and anything.
The very stereotype of what a USELESS agency is in the minds of all on this board, I’m sure.
have at another agency assisted them with shift in alfreton! worst job i have EVER had to do, 1 driver had his start times changed that much i refused to send him in as he had no sleep. the response i got was tell YOUR driver to get in, my response was a lot of swearing.
was asked to work christmas eve afternoon at Morrisons Gadbrook, and i politely refused so 15 minutes later ADR are on the phone again this time offering a £200 bonus plus my days wage to which i seed ok, fast foraward to next pay day i got my wages but to this day no bonus.
I had an interview with them at Lea Green about twelve months ago and didn’t take it any further.
Got a very poor vibe off the whole set up so I’m not surprised with these tales of messing drivers about and non payment of bonus/incentives.
Given the demand for agency drivers I’m surprised they still get away with it.
…perhaps they don’t.
Perhaps they are run as a tax loss leader by a multinational by the back door?
No firm has any business being around as long as they have - with what they do as their “standard practice”.

+1
Sacked them twice last year
I worked for them a few years back on the NFT contract at London Colney and Chill Elstree. They always got me work when I wanted it,paid the right amount and on time.
Would probably still be with them, but the Chill operation moved from Elstree to Waltham Point and didn’t fancy it after that.
No complaints from me,though I’ve no idea what they’re like to work for now.
Same as any other agency really, I do 1to 2 shifts a week with no probs, get paid on time, boots at beeston coop at castlewood and nft is their main work.
