ADR limited quantity

Need some advice,

I am not ADR qualified and my unit does not have any ADR equipment.

Am I allowed to carry limited quantity ADR goods.
Where are the references that state YES or NO.

Thanks in advance

yes you can :sunglasses: and diesel Dave will tell all :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing:

Yes you can carry LTD Quantity without ADR. But I think you need to do an Awareness Course to carry them.

Thanks for the reference.

Hi damoq,

You’re spot-on mate, but I fixed your quote (just slightly) for you. :wink:

To answer the OP’s question, the proper legal reference for a non-ADR trained driver carrying LQs is:

CDG 2009 (as amended) Reg.5 and ADR 2013 3.4.1

3.4.1

Limited quantities of dangerous goods packed in such limited quantities, meeting the provisions of this Chapter are not subject to any other provisions of ADR except the relevant provisions of:

(a) Part 1, Chapters 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, 1.8, 1.9;

(b) - (h)

In the above quote, it’s the mention of “1.3” that triggers the requirement for awareness training.
