ADR for a Hotbox?

This might be a silly question to an ADR driver but does anybody know if an ADR is needed for driving a hotbox?
Cheers

What exactly about driving a horse box is it that you think may require a licence permitting you to transport large quantities of chemicals?

I’m assuming of course that the intent is actually to carry horses in the vehicle and not 40 gallon drums of nitroglycerine?

Well clearly the GAS BOTTLES have nothing to do with horses, more to do with keeping the tar hot as in the name “HOTBOX”

To start with I think the most gas bottles with out ADR is 3 @ 47 kg each ,but iam not sure.

Hi Mainzer,

Depending on circumstances, ADR has a few different exemptions that can come into play.

Just for now, some exemptions are based on the type of operation, whilst others are based on amounts carried.

If you answer some questions, I’ll do my best to find a way to help.

What is a hotbox?
What dangerous substance(s) are involved?
Are the dangerous substances in packages? (If so, what kind?)
