Hi guys, can you tell me what to expect on adr exams?? i’m doing the whole lot including tanks , except class 1 and 7 , is it difficult?? i was under impression it was pretty easy but saw the sample tests and it doesnt look easy at all , i believe they will give me some book to learn from?? i hope its not 800 pages lol, thanks for any replies

Dont worry mate it’s easy, if I can do it anyone can. I did all 10/11 papers in less than 90min[emoji15]

if you are of average intelligence and you listen to the instructor you should pass it no problem and you should also enjoy the course , if you know nothing about tanker work it really doesn’t matter as most of the training you need will be done in house for each product that you carry,that is were you need a good trainer because if he doesn’t instill good practice into you from day one then you could be doomed in the future, dont be a defeatist, if your going to start doubting yourself now before you start stay at home and save your money

hmm, i’d say i’m above average 
, and i’m determined to do it and change my job, i hate my job at the moment and desperate to move out of kent up north to northamptonshire

I did it about 2-3yrs ago, unfortunately the material is no good to you, I chucked it all away in the recycle after failing to gain meaningful employment as a driver.

i wasn’t trying to put you down its just that im a confident person who doesnt beieve in failure,and you had an element of doubt in your question , ive enjoyed every training course ive been on because the instructors have all been top bokes except one who started off by telling the room there was only two ways that a washing machine can break down , i put my hand up and expained that as i was in the process of divorce i didnt have a washing machine but i did have two things of interest ,1 a son who i only see on a sunday and is waiting for me to pick him up and a soon to be ex wife whos got a washing machine as well as the rest of the contents of what used to be my home so i suggested that if he wasn’t going to teach me something worthwhile in relation to my job [ it was an in house traing course ]the best thing i can do is go and pick up my son and while im there ill tell the soon to be ex wife to nip round here as this drivel may be of use to her , i’m sure you will be fine im sure you will have a laugh and dont and i repeat dont be afraid to ask a question or to explain someting again i you didnt quite undertand it the first time good luck with the adr traing and the future on tanks

Relax mate, if your spoken English is as good as your written English I can honestly say without fear of contradiction you are head and shoulders better than a lot of posters who frequent this (or any) forum.
It’s in your instructors best interest for you to pass,they also get assessed on results any relevant topic will be hilighted several times to you just listen it’s not hard,honestly

It’s all reasonably simple, from a class of 10 who all thought they’d fail in March, everybody passed all of it.

You cannot use any books in the exams! If they did let you then they will soon lose their accreditation and you will lose your adr entitlement. .

your panicking again , breath , in with love out with anger ,you read the question and you read it properly , it might ask you what is, it might ask you what isn’t it might ask you to pick one it might ask you to pick more than one as in what three components are required for a fire, i can see you sat at the back needing first aid ,relax relax relax
