Can anyone recommend a good supplier of ADR courses in deeside please. I’ve been quoted £530 for a full package (ex 1&7) and 4 cpc modules in that too.
Is this the norm or are there better rates or even companies to stay clear of. Cheers

Did mine at a place near Wrexham , no idea if they were good or not I passed tho
Www.gatewentrainingltd.co.uk
The boss paid , not sure of the exact price but he charged me £350 ish when I left after 10 months . That was all classes except tankers and radioactive/explosives .
Did mine with Altrain in Ellesmere Port they were very good; they will also give you 4 day’s towards your cpc.

I think diesel Dave trains you off here!
Our resident expert Dieseldave teaches in that area mate. Pm him and ask for your Trucknet discount voucher.
Btw, he can be bribed with pies too!

That’s a good price…providing it includes: 1) VAT.
2) Exam entry fees - it should do
3) Tanker module - it probably does as this is why they are able to offer four days
DCPC credit.
4) DCPC upload/admin. fees.
We get charged £550 for all the above included except optional DCPC fee @ £60.00 for 3 days. We consider this to be very competitive, so your quote seems great!!!
Fair enough, I haven’t asked about any upload fees to be fair but everything else is included. Cracking then, I think I’ll get my course booked sharpish.
Thanks

I’ve heard that Altrain does some work for a union, but I’m not sure about the current situation TBH cos I’ve never worked for them.

I’m a bit more mobile these days, so now I can turn up almost anywhere.

Ah nice one buddy!!! Well done…Hoyer always looking for drivers in South East…Good money and shift work!!! Good luck matey
Thanks a lot. I’ve got an application for hoyer in front of me. Will be posting it today. They’re looking in my area but I don’t want to miss out so I’m applying early. Only 2 weeks till I get my ADR anyway. I’ve past them 2 times before so unless there’s been major changes in the last 7 years I think I’ll be ok.
Would anyone have a rough idea of what the likes of Hoyer drivers can expect to be taking home? I’ve paid for my ADR this morning and will also be sending an application in to them. 32hrs per week of shift work suggests 4-on/4-off of 6-2/2-10/10-6 ?
I’ve just sent mine off. Would be nice to hear the answer to this one. Where are you doing your course?
Gatewen in Wrexham, it’s only ten mins up the road from us. Spoke to the lady there a couple of weeks ago, was £600 all-in with three CPC uploads, rang again today to book it and she said £510. Result.
Oh nice one. £20 cheaper than mine. I won’t be moaning about that though as long as I get through the course without any fails. I remember from the last times I did it, it was death by PowerPoint!! Hope a civvi trainer makes it a bit more user friendly and upbeat. We’ll see
