Having grandad rights on me licence means im still needing to do the cpc these adr tickets i now thay can count towards part of ya cpc i was thinking of the hiab ticket aswell, has any newbe done them and have thay helped you find work… as im needing to do me 35hr cpc training if i can get some thing that might help me get work to i should do this… cheers weeman…
A DCPC approved ADR course usually counts for 21 hours of the 35 needed and that will cost more than the standard non DCPC ADR course - perhaps around £75 more but not certain
YOU MUST CHECK WITH THE COURSE PROVIDER THAT DCPC WILL COUNT FOR THAT COURSE
Cheers ROG,

If you have a lot of experience and there are lots of tanker jobs in your area then it will definitely help

Hi weeman1,
My honest advice is that you don’t bother with UN Classes 1 or 7 for the following reasons:
- Both are specialisms, and therefore quite expensive
- They EACH need one extra full day of tuition
- Neither of them can be counted for DCPC
I’d add that the tanker module is approx 1.5 days, and is also counted as a specialism, but it’s not usually very expensive. Some ADR providers have registered their tanker module for 7hrs DCPC.
More honest advice… I’d say that you could save money and not bother with the tanker module, unless there’s a realistic chance of you gaining employment as a tanker driver.
Please take ROG’s advice and ask the provider what I call the ‘right’ questions because there is then far less scope for any misunderstandings.

I can’t disagree with that weeman1.
You could do the following:
ADR course covering Core, Packages and seven UN Classes = 21hrs DCPC
HIAB course = 14hrs DCPC
Then it’s job done and you’d have two useful tickets AND a DQC card from DVLA.
i do belive deiseldave, that you,
we have smashed my cpc out of the park thats it.
i is greatful for ya help in my plight to sort out my cpc training… now to find a provider,
