Sorry Andy, JMD (Mike) retired and sold his business to Altrain about two years ago.

Altrain have a classroom near the docks at Ellesmere Port.

I’ve always been a freelance who works for lots of different providers, so I wasn’t part of the package.

Cheers Dave, Ill give alltrain a call

If you are looking in the Ellesmere Port area you won’t get any better than JMD Training, speak to Mike he will make sure you get a good deal - think DD will back me up on this one

Did my ADR in Ellesmere Port earlier this year at J M D training, core packs & seven classes & retuned a couple of months later to do tankers, it suited me better to do this way 'cause of fitting it in with work. I travelled up from south west which I didnt mind doing because the tuition was exellant ,& even had time to visit my family  , feed & watered too  & got all passes  , Diesel Dave really knows his adr stuff

I did my tankers/packages with Friendberry Training at Stogumber near Taunton,Somerset, they arrange the accomodation, meals out are in the pub or the hotel in Wivelscombe where they hold most training courses, you get money off if you live out of the area.
Pleasant countryside, cider, and meat pies from the village shop, and the hotel offers tea and coffee for £2 all day.
The instructor Bill is a decent bloke, you can have a laugh while learning, testing at each segment, easy to pass, they run special offers on the interweb,so keep a look out for some bargains,21 hours goes to the dcpc too.

cheers guys ellesmere port more near my way as i live in Merseyside, will take a look at J.M.D

Dieseldave is your man in Ellsemere Port. He will be along soon as a regular contributor to this forum.
Search him and send a PM.
Reccomended trainer.

Morning, i did mine with transchem in warrington. Good instructor.

I’m guessing the OP is living close to ellesmere due to his preferred choice of provider.

Hi FH12Volvo,

I’m not sure whether you’ve got a link yet, but here’s JMD Training’s website:

There are some other providers within travel range, but if you live on the Wirral, then JMD or Alltrain, both at Ellesmere Port aren’t very far away.

I’d like to take the time out and do my CPC and ADR in a lump. I wonder what the best price i could get on it would be ?.

Hi Ex Haulier,

I’d say that your best bet is to contact Mr Friendberry, cos he does some very good deals.

We certainly had exellant instruction from someone who realy knows their ADR stuff & a great way of training others too. I know I will deffinately be looking forward to going back in a few years time to update my ADR licence. It was well worth me traveling half way up the country for the course, & like pete says it was a 'decent price’wink:
