ADR course

I have never done an ADR course but am looking to moving abroad early next year and I want to add an extra string to my bow so to speak. Where can I do as many modules for the best price - thanks

You’ll only need core, tanks and modules 2-9 excluding 7 which in most cases comes out around the 500 squids category. (Everything but explosives [1] and radioactive [7]).

As for providers, they are probably basically singing from the same hymn sheet as theres only a handful pf approved course materisls, although like CPC, some can be more interesting than others.

I did mine with Peter Smythe (see top of newbies forum) and got the CPC hours credited too, but that might be far away depending on location. Where abouts are you in country?

Hi,

In order to give you good (relevant) advice in addition to the very good advice given by TrevHCS above, can I ask whether “abroad” means that you’re moving to a country that is a current party to the ADR agreement?
If you mention the name of the country, I will be able to answer that question for you.

If the country is not a party to the ADR agreement, an ADR card obtained in the UK won’t be of any use.

If the country is a party to the ADR agreement, then a UK issued ADR Card will be valid AND accepted in any ADR member country.

There are currently over 50 countries in the ADR agreement, so ADR is far bigger than (and completely unaffected by anything to do with) the EU.

If you give an approx location and your preferred travelling distance to the course, I will be able to give you contact details for ADR providers that suit you.

Taskmaster training Wigan, £360 all in including 28hrs cpc. Well it was last March when I did mine.

I did my ADR at Peter Smythe too, good course and good instructor, I seem to remember they have a deal with a hotel if you live over 70 miles away, I think the hotel was massively reduced, or possibly even free (but don’t quote me on it)
