What Robbies Dad said was correct, there are certain products allowed through the Kennedy Tunnel, but it is worked out by using the letter and number on the CMR

So a product may have Class 6.1 Toxic placards up but because of the packing group and the Chiffre it may be allowed through. All the companies I loaded from round there used to hand out little cards or stamp your CMR with the exemptions. As you know the ziffer changes when the vessel is nominally empty. ie 84C would become 81C

I never saw one of these cards written in English though. It was always in Flemish.

But again, its academic because we dont know the hazard or the name that prompted the original post

Guess what ,I dont either !!! just been told there will be adr in a load of groupage. However, all the info will help. thanks

Just found an update on this.

C24 means no ADR

C24b
Pour la consultation du tableau, voir image
Accès interdit aux conducteurs de véhicules transportant les marchandises dangereuses inflammables ou explosibles déterminées par les Ministres compétents en matière de transport des marchandises dangereuses.
For the consultation of the table, to see image Road closure to the drivers of vehicles transporting the flammable or explosive dangerous goods determined by the qualified Ministers as regards carriage of the dangerous goods.

However the Kennedy is C24b which according to Babel Fish bans explosives and certain flammables which can be found
