Adam Jones

Old established black country company finally shut down after afew years of struggle.
It had over a hundred trucks at one time, not everything is rosy in the transport game.

Didn’t Kenyons Blackburn buy them up a couple of years ago? I thought they were keeping the brand but making stuff part of the ‘otif’ group.

That’s a shame, I remember Adam Jones Transport from when I used to pull steel out of Coombs Wood Steel Works in the 70s and I think they had quite a few vehicles then.

It’s always sad to see such an old established company go out of business :frowning:

I don’t know about that but according to this article they’re shutting the doors once and for all.

Shame then if it wasn’t viable anymore or had been mismanaged to that end result. That said the Adam Jones family might have done well to sell up when they did before Covid came about and shook up the business if that was the turning point.
