Been stuck in an actros the last few days, and I cannot get comfortable in the retched seat. Giving me awful back pain!
Mercedes have always been known for their firm seats.
What works for me is one of these wedge shaped cushions:
Go onto ebay and type 252188128760 into the search box.
I got a new Actros a couple of months ago…have you checked behind the driver’s seat, bottom left on the side of the seat? My seat felt lumpy & hard, and then I discovered a row of buttons that you can adjust to fit your behind & lower back.
In some units there is actually a setting that inflates & deflates cushions in the seat that massages you as you’re driving, but my company didn’t see fit to pay for that optional extra!
Try tipping the seat back so that your hip angle is not so open as in other vehicles.
This way more of your back is braced.
The Actros seat is made for hunchbacks + the unit has awful suspension.
I guess many Actros drivers are gripping their necks by the time Friday rolls round if they’re like me.
You need one of those beaded seat covers that were so beloved of minicab drivers in the early nineties. The trick is to get in wearing shorts so the seat cover can grab a big old swatch of leg hair.
The pain is so intense that you forget your back was aching.

Luckily I’ve only got it for the week, so not going to spend money. Cheers though!

All I can find is the lumbar support controls. And they just make it worse.
Cheers mate

Tried that mate, nothing seems to work.
