Does anyone know the part number for the lane assist speakers on an Actros MP4 (circled in the picture)? Or where I can get hold of a parts diagram for it?
My truck went out with an agency driver at the weekend a few weeks back and the idiot ripped the lane departure warning speakers out rather than push the disable button. Now it warns me there’s a speaker fault every 10 seconds and I have no dashboard sounds like indicators, lights etc
I believe the area you have circled are tweeters which if fitted broadcast treble, in the MP4’s I have driven the lane assist noise is played through speakers in the doors, I have had a warning shown some times when having radio at high volume saying lane assist not working.
1/ do you own the truck ?
2/ if company driver , default it and keep defaulting it or refuse to take out

He’s nicked your steering wheel aswell!
Lane assist is definitely within the normal door speakers and show a warning when music is loud, nothing behind your marked area in my MP4.

I think the agency driver ( or agency company) should pay all the costs of replacing the speaker. Why would someone damage the truck like that anyway ?
