Driving a low ride Actros with full air suspension, could do with raisings the ride height, I know its possible with a Volvo but can’t seem to find out if it’s possible with a Merc.
It possibly can only be done by a mechanic…but to make it easier, tell the boss you need bigger wheels…that`ll sort it…
It’s a one off job, and I’m down in Portugal, was hoping driver could adjust within a range of heights,
The wheels are the right size just the units sat on the deck, maybe I’ll have to drive it with the seat all the way back and wear a baseball cap backwards.
Not sure why you’d do this but it is possible if you have full air suspension.
Go into the computer and get to the suspension settings page. You’ll see a picture of a unit and some arrows pointing up and down.
The left hand arrows raise the front suspension up or down. The right hand arrows raise the rear up and down. Then there’s the 2 in the middle. The one on the right levels the whole suspension out whether you press up or down and the one on the left raises or lowers the whole suspension. That’s the one you want to use.

It is full air suspension and I want to do it to hopefully improve the ride and as the trucks are running really low raising them a little might reduce the risk of damage and the trailer isn’t level so lifting it won’t affect the the 4m height limit.
I have done some research and found a button designed to raise the truck while traveling, it says to improve the ride quality, so if this isn’t the answer then I might give the settings a go.
Yes theres a button the dash which does just that. Can’t say it makes much difference to be honest but it does raise the rear of the unit up a good few inches. Give it a try.
I tend to use it if I want to drop a trailer slightly higher than ride height for whatever reason. It’s also handy for resetting the ride height without going into the computer or fiddling down the side of the chair.
