Actros Crawler Mode - Disable

Hi,

My 2017 Actros 2545 has a “Crawler Mode” which can be used when in very slow moving traffic. If you release the service (foot) brake then the truck crawls forward.

I really don’t like this action when manoeuvring onto a bay or for general shunting / parking work.

I can disable the feature via the console but have to do this EVERY time I start the truck :imp:

Does anyone know if a workshop can set the default for this feature to be OFF rather than ON?

Use manual mode.

It’s called creep mode. A dealer or somebody with a laptop able to talk to a Merc ECU can permanently turn it off very easily. In fact one dealer I know of asks if you want it turning off before delivery, most say yes.
