Hi,
Seen a job advert for Class 1 working for Acre Industrial Cleaning Services. Just wondering if anyone has any info on them, in terms of what the job would entail, wages, shift patterns etc. Advert just says competitive rates of pay and minimum 40 hours per week.
Cheers

Quite probably a ■■■ job literally.
No idea on any more than that.
Why not just give em a ring, and you get it from the horses mouth…i have know people ask a driver what its like working for so and so…to find he was misquoting out of embarassment…for the poor wage and working conditions.but i suppose employers can do that too…but you will have it recorded wont ya. !!
Did u find out any info ?

Stay away if you value your licence and your health. Well known cowboy outfit. Trucks run with numerous defects, running overweight is expected, cross contamination of loads. If driving is quiet you’ll be expected to do confined space cleaning work. There’s a reason they are permanently advertising. It’s a revolving door of staff not just drivers.
With this sort of work you’ll probably do very little driving, maybe drive to a local factory and wait hours while all permits etc get cleared to clean a tank or whatever and while the work gets done. Add the fact as above most of these type of companies expect the “driver” to basically be an operative for the work getting done too. Some days the most driving you’ll do could just be a few movements inside a factory/chemical works etc. As for patterns nights will be as common as the work will be 24/7 during factory shutdown periods.

Bit of a sore point since I ‘lost’ my licences there and cost me an arm and leg to get replacements!
Seriously they do do excrement, literally. I’d refuse to do that. Both times I went in there it was ok. First was a fertiliser job which was fun. Kit a bit naff tbh. Second time in, it was a distillery job with a second man. Couldn’t do permanent there though.
They’re local to me and always advertising, even for non driving roles. Doesn’t say a lot tbh
