Hi 3300John, Do you know anything about the Hemphills twin steer Foden?.Looking at the Cheshire reg on her i am sure it was an ICI Unit from Runcorn. We had about 15 of them from 1968 to about 1976.Cheers Ted.

Harrisons bought this off Gilbraith Transport from Accrington where it started life as a 4x2 tractor with a Leyland O.680 engine. I believe Harrisons swapped this for the Gardner engine it now has.

Hiya toxic gas man…i never thought of ici having the twin steer’s i was on the joseph hoyle trail with that reg…was’nt their
a transpot outfit that said lyon transport that was from cheshire that had twin steers.
i suppose it could have been one of fodens own lorries as they was registered after a while
because they stopped them running on trade plates. we need to ask the owner the next time we see him
as we are just guessing with the reg.
cheers John
