what is the typical rates charged buy accountants for a 1 truck and trailer owner driver in central Scotland if that makes any odds just one of no doubt many things ive not got rates for starting on my own
I did a bit of shopping for an accountant a few year back (5).
Got quoted anything between £1500.00 & £2500.00 even then you needed to look at what they were going to do for the dosh.
I suggest that you speak to several, you need someone you can communicate with and someone who understands transport.
I pay about £1,300 a year which is expensive for my area but he is a brilliant accountant, in my first year of trading he posted a trading loss of £35,000.
As a sole trader mine was £600 17 years ago ,I’ve been ltd 10 years and it’s always around £1100 ,that’s for 1 vehicle and subcontractors varying from 2 to 6 per day .
i pay for bits monthly, pay slips for me and the wife etc, comes to about £15 a month, then he charges me £350 at the end of the year to do my return and submit to companys house
