Firstly, this isn’t an arsey/sarcastic question.
Where you at fault? And is that your opinion or the opinion of others?
Just curious.
Well he was on here at half 9 last night and hasn’t answered so it looks like GUILTY as charged
Of course I’m guilty I ran into the back of her
But do we now need a accident investigator from the police to work that out( the insurance bod told me that in mins ) ,we then have a secatary sending me a 10 page letter explaining that,we now have all the people in the court as well deciding who was at fault.
Years ago you gave it too the insurance too sort out a MINOR shunt( that the cop accident investigators words not mine,MINOR
Or you could take the option of a £175 course ,note most dates are fully booked, nice little earner there
Why I’m going too court is for the cops too explain how the foreign lorry driver who reversed into mrs car and then proceeded too shove it back up road whilst pedestrians were screaming at him too stop had no action taken against him due too lack of evidence, various witnesses, cops were present due too being called pedestrians, car totalled, daughter frightened too death thinking trailer was comming over top of car.
Yet I’m going too court or pay them £175 ,I can’t see for the life of me why the insurance company’s couldn’t of sorted this out as they always did years ago ,but if there not then let’s have a level playing field ,if I’m getting done then the foreign driver should, they won’t explain why at cop station, just threats of arrest,so they can explain in court why one rule for one/ one for another.

Some little posh [zb] ran into the back of me in a company van about 18 months ago, I ended up having to be cut out of the van on a spinal board…
Then got made redundant 5 days later…coincidence?
I wanted the little prick prosecuted but the police decided to send him a driver improvement course!
Only bright side is that my compensation should be through this week!
She was taken away on a board as you to hospital according too the ambulance driver as a precaution, the letter we received from here solicitor( statement by her) said she had no time off work, was back at work following day,I spoke too her the following day and she said she was fine ,just shook up.
I then rang her a few days later too check she was ok and she said she was fine.
If she wanted me proececuted for accident the fair enough ,I’d not have a issue over that
But it’s not her though is it ,it’s the cops, and there £175 a course all for in there words a MINOR accident, and if there doing me why not the foreign truck driver.
I’m adamant I’m going too court,if it cost me money ,points etc so be it,I’m not disputing I’m guilty ( we all know that when we run into someone else), I just want the ops too explain why there taking action against me and not the foreign truck driver.
I don’t want any action taken against him too be honest,it was a accident,he didn’t go out too do it,neither did I,they were accident, they happen 100,s,1000,s of times a day, have done from day one, leave it too insurance too sort ,but if there going too do you for a MINOR shunt ,then let’s have a level playing field, not pick and choose who your going too do dependent on where they come from, can’t see a Romanian truck driver comming back too do the course can you.
N.b this is not a racist rant again foreign truck drivers,it’s against the system,if I’m being threatened with magistrates court, disqualification etc then whys he not, they haven’t enough evidence when they must have been given 5/6 witness statement, there was even pictures of it in local rag.
1 just let insurance sort it out
2 if not the a level playing field, not pick and choose who you feel you can get £175 out of,and who it’s too much hassle too try too get the money out of them
If the police were to prousecte you for ‘without due care and attention’, theres a chance you would be moaning about the police being over zealous.
IMO, the course is a brilliant idea.

Dozy you are linking two unrelated incidents. You won’t get to put this across in court as they are only interested in your case.
You are only going to make matter worse for yourself, and not get any recourse on the truck driver who reversed into your Mrs,s car.
Look at it this way at least no one has said it was your wife’s fault for being in the truck drivers blind spot.

I think you are getting the wrong end of the stick here. If you appear in court charged with careless driving, and you plead guilty, you will be found guilty, fined, and have penalty points added to your licence…that is as far as your day in court will go. This is not your opportunity to get an expalnation for a decision made by a different copper, on a different day, about a different event.
Whether you like it or not, magistrates (not police) will only be interested in the case in front of them. My advice to you is to save a lot of money, and try to benefit from the money you do spend by going on a course you might even enjoy rather than paying a fine. Life is a little bit unfair sometimes, but you did run in to the back of the car, nobody was hurt so it’s time for a bit of humble pie and some damage limitation.
I think that you should apply the vaseline and take the course.A lorry hit the back of my bus at a traffic light in 2008 not that long ago,I was told that I was 80% to blame.!The example that you gave concerns a FOREIGN driver "nuff said there then.If you start asking questions in court you risk being held in contempt, thats even more wonga for H.Ms. Treasury.
