Just wondered if any of you carried any details with you whilst out driving. The nature of our job means were nearly always alone. If your unfortunate to be involved in a serious collision, where would the emergency services find your details??. I have the contact details in my phone under the name ICE, this im told is a standard place for the emergency services to look. ICE(In Case of Emergency). Is this correct. The downfall of that is ,as we know a phone will be flung around all over the place, so im thinking of carrying some form of laminated card in my back pocket, with all details ie name , phone contact, blood group, allergies etc. Just a thought, seconds count in those situations. What do you all think. Maybe military style dog tags would be another idea.
Blimmy bit morbid round here lately.
I also have on my fone ‘ICE WIFE’ then first name.
She was NOT amused when she first saw it and was not totally convinced when I tried to explain the true meaning.

You mean UTag ICE
Also comes in a card to fit into your wallet. Always drive with mine. Got name, address, blood group, doctors contact, organ donor etc Also got the ability to add a message should the worse happen
Its a little easy of mind which is good. Simply plugs into any usb device. It has the staff and snake symbol so its widely knows as a medical device
My watch has my name, postcode and ICE number engraved on the back, also some medical information that would be recognised by any paramedic should I need one. Also have the same information in my cellphone…
I think for anyone that spends as much time alone as a truck driver some form of ID should be carried at all times, just engraved on a watch, bracelet or small medallion could save your life.
