Accident at Junction of A144 & A12 north of Ipswich?

I’m hearing a freezer with turkeys from Bernard Matthews at Halesworth has turned over somewhere close to the junction of the A144 & the A12.

This is a small s/c road coming out onto a slightly larger s/c A 12, so not a seriously busy junction!

May be one of ours. Anyone heard any more specific news? How the driver is?

Thanks for any info.

from info received so far he’s tipped it over in bramfield village but trying to verify. not sure if its 1 of bernies of fowlers yet?

Oh dear, there’s a hill going into Bramfield which is limited to 30mph… and there are no major bends in the road… Could be one of Neil Bomfords units pulling a Bernies freezer.

And they just got five new Schmitz trailers…

very much doubt it will be a bomfords with a fridge at this time of night

I wonder if this is the same incident…

"The A144 has been closed in both directions after a lorry carrying
frozen chickens overturned.

Suffolk Police said the incident happened near Wenhaston at 1540 today. (29/10/12)

Although the frozen chickens were not strewn across the carriageway, police
said the road has to remain closed until all of the chickens have been removed
from the lorry before it can be be recovered.

The ambulance service was alerted to the incident but details of any injuries
are unknown."
