sounds a bit far fetched for me
Was thinking the same Simon when I read it but what job are they guaranteeing as it dosent say
Would be interesting to see it also say they have a Newcastle office like to know where as I have not heard of them but have of the 4 others with good reps in this area
This looks like another one of those ‘facilitating’ companies.
They make great big promises but don’t produce the goods when needed.
From their waffle
‘Highway HGV. Why Choose HGV Training:
As a result of the high demand for HGV drivers across the country. Companies are calling out for drivers to deliver their goods, and there are simply not enough drivers to fill all the necessary jobs. There are even fears that the lack of drivers will negatively affect businesses in the next few years, leading to losses as they become unable to deliver their goods.
IMHO that’s pure fantasy, haulage companies are going to the wall every week. Why? Because these companies which worry about the lack of drivers to deliver their goods refuse to pay a rate which allows a haulage company to pay their drivers a decent wage and make any profit.
I’ll fill in some of the missing words from that quote.
As a result of the high demand for experienced HGV drivers across the country. Companies are calling out for experienced drivers to deliver their goods, and there are simply not enough experienced drivers to fill all the necessary jobs. There are even fears that the lack of drivers will negatively affect businesses in the next few years, leading to losses as they become unable to deliver their goods. However, if they would pay a sensible rate to the companies delivering their goods, these problems would disappear overnight.
It takes 15 minutes of research in this forum to see that one of the biggest problems new drivers have is getting a start. Almost everywhere you go demands 2 years experience. If you are lucky enough to find a company, with a vacancy who’ll take you on, you find yourself sleeping all weekend in an effort to be ready to start again next week. Agencies will sign you on and promise you regular work, but they have a different idea to you on what ‘regular work’ means.
Another thing, look at their site. The written English is dreadful. OK, not the end of the world, but a professional company, putting together a recruitment site should get these kinds of details correct.
I would be very dubious about parting with any of my hard earned cash to this company.
If they “Guarantee a job or your money back” here is an idea.
Tell them you will place the full course fee in Escrow, meaning you will deposit it with a solicitor of their choice. The solicitor will be instructed to only release the funds to them when you have actually started in the new job.
Of course the new job has to be driving in the category of vehicle for which you have trained and passed the test and not working in a shop, cafe, bar etc.
They will run a mile at this suggestion but at least they will not bombard you with sales phone calls. LOL

'Bout time all these brokers were banned. And from posting here. Scum.
I did see the wording on the website you are talking about. What a load of tosh. No job and get your money back. No such thing
