Aa recovery driver

Any one know pay or conditions been offered a recruitment day slot any advice greatly appreciated

Been several threads on here about them, unfortunately the search function won’t allow you to search for AA, and it’ll ignore AA in any search’s

IIRC this was the last PAYE job I went for quite a few years ago. I expect all recruitment days are similar now, but then I think it was a bit unusual, there was absolutely no interest whatsoever in ability as a mechanic or as a driver. The whole process was based upon ticking boxes in the recruitment process formula. Loads of seemingly meaningless questions and a lot of emphasis on interaction with other people.

4 on 4 off 11hr shifts paid 10.25hrs about £11ph £17 ot plus a complicated bonus system

Based on the ones I’ve spoken to, by the time you make it on to C work you’re only moving stuff not fixing it.

Probably need +E as well as the units are 12t and they’ll sometimes have a caravan on the back.

You need C+E to use the spec lift.

The AA drivers I spoke to when I was being recovered from Mansfield to Inverness a few years ago (three AA trucks and three contractors) seemed to think it was a great job - one was encouraging me to apply if there were any vacancies local to me.
It’s C+E because the trucks have a spec lift, sometimes drivers and passengers are given a taxi home and the car taken when another truck is going that way.

That figures, because dealing with customers will be as important transporting their car. It’s the service they receive that they will remember when it comes to renew or recommend to others.
