AA Job add ?

The AA are addvertizing for drivers, only thing is there asking of people with
" LGV 1 (c+e)" licence ■■

dose this mean thay only want class 1 drivers. I thought AA road side recovery only needed class 2 licenes ■■ or have I got it wrong ?

It may also be for recovery They also have 7.5 with a trailer, so thats why i assume class 1, they obviously know we are the best in the business, and only want the best.

Because if they have to tow a car using the spec lift, the driver would need the E category if it weighed more than 750kgs.

Yeah and you would maybe tow snack van type trailers

Wrong about the AA but that is just the way they do it. They only want drivers who can tow a car on the spec-lift or recover a car and caravan together.

Many recovery companies use Class 2 drivers because they are easier to get and cheaper to employ but they cannot (legally) use the spec-lift.

BTW, getting job with the AA involves jumping through a lot of hoops and can takes several months.

Alan, you just dont want to admit it do ya, class 1 drivers are wanted because we are the best, the elite, and kings of the road…dont forget it…and i`ve seen your name on many a a trailer door

A CE with a 102 restriction could do it

Be warned some of AA work is seasonal without prospect of permanent contract. Shifts are also customer driven. e.g Weekend and late shifts are norm!

Also if you end up hauled from your area ■■■■■■■ miles away. Your next 5 jobs could be in the FMA area.

Class 1 drivers do it longer and slower

But class 2 drivers are more rigid!

Class one drivers are more flexible and can reach parts others cant

So does that make drawbar drivers double hard?

m1cks:
So does that make drawbar drivers double hard?

In the words of tankers and ****ers. “They drive the biggest on the road and one wrong move would see the end of the world.” Followed by “The dreaded blindside reverse”

Wouldn’t say double hard… just GOD’S. . Lol
