I’m off the Girvan from Penrith. Looks like the A75 then A714 is the best route. Can any one tell me if the A714 is decent enough for a truck or am I better sticking to the coast road.

its a bit narrow in places but ok,keep your cb (if you have one) on 19,it gets busy with timber wagons but you’ll hear them before you meet them (usually 
)
