Hope both drivers are ok. Looks a nasty one.
Report suggests they got away without life threatening injuries, but although god knows how anyone got out of that Noble Foods truck without very serious injuries or even getting decapitated by the roof unit. They might not feel it, but think he / she was bloody lucky that it hit on the edge not a few inches further in.
Hopefully they both get out of it with only memories and nothing longer term.
It says in the article that the trailers need cutting into pieces by specialist crews as part of the recovery operation. Why is that? The trailers look fine to at least be towed off by recovery trucks.
Looking at them pictures, if that’s a head on, daf V scania, then it looks like the scania is a stronger cab.
You would think the Scania with a couple of cheese and onion pasties in the back would have been a write off up against a fully loaded bulker, strange the way that Dafs ended up
Just had another look at the photos, and ironically Greggs are sporting a ROSPA badge on the back of their trailer.
