Can anyone tell me if the truck ban still stands on the A685 Tebay to Brough please. I know I can go M6/A66 but I’m thinking time/fuel. Google street view shows a sign saying nothing over 18t but there’s an artic a few miles up the road on an image dated May 2017. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers 
Afaik the 18 T limit is still in place. The was a haulier perhaps Sam Ostle? who was based within the limit so obviously had to use it. I also suspect that many simply ignore the limit and travel through regardless.
Yes it’s still in place,assuming the artic is a permit holder.
Yes 18t and not forgetting the railway bridge that so many hit.

Signs saying there is a weight limit on the A685 are definitely in place on the A66 at Brough.

Definately permit holders only , not that they ever check, we deliver to a farm half way along and we have never been pulled
