Ive checked this road via google street view and there is no weight restriction visible. Could be old photos, I know. But one of my software route planning tools has this section of road limited to 7.5 tonnes.
Anyone driven it recently who can advise?
Cheers.
The only weight restriction I can see on my map (2015 edition of Truckers Britain) is a 17 tonne limit near Hardrow.

No weight restrictions last week . But a bit tight in places.
Can double check later. As my brother lives just off it in the wilds. …
Just enjoy the view if going east… and the hill…
Sorry for the late update - and thanks for replying.
Basically, the weight limit was spurious. That said, two bridges were out in the area as a result of flood damage from last year. Neither of these were listed on the t’internet route planner.
And typically the restrictions and diversions were not signposted until you actually get onto the road in question! Nice that.

Eh?
Isn’t Scotch Jeans the main Sedbergh road, from J37 M6 to roughly the A683 junction? What bridges are out?
It’s 7.5t except for access along that stretch anyhow.
Come to think of it, the bridge by Hallbeck’s still down. There is (or at least was) a road closed sign as you leave the B6256 but it doesn’t say whereabouts. Thankfully, our gas tank’s about 18 inches the right side of said ex-bridge.
