theres a 14’9 bridge on the road from gisburn to long preston on the A65 other than that its fine. bit twisty but i take curtain siders up there regular and have took a morrisons fridge up there once or twice
Cheers guys,
went up it early doors and defo shorter than going back to Preston but wee bit twisty/hilly alright,
not sure if it did my fuel bonus any good
i came down from the m6 to colne the other week with an empty flat on. my mpg went from 8.7 down to 6.4. its a ■■■■ of a road but fun
Yeah, I do a collection in Settle - everyone knows where, it’s the only place to go in Settle - and coming back I’m on the weight limit.
I can either come that way, or I go down Nelson way towards the M65 and M66.
Both are a bit of an arse, and the tipper tossers around there drive like plonkers, but all legal.

but…the more important question is…did you make the boat ■■?.
and did you have a peek at where the moss used to be when you passed it …

Oh aye,
made the 0730Stena with plenty of time to spare!!![emoji6]
Going up the 75 yesterday at a nice steady 50mph,
why the F did THREE ballbag Manfreight drivers feel the need to use CRAZY manoeuvres to overtake me flat lit some 20miles from boat and then sit parked on the bloody grid@ Stena!!![emoji52]
Didn’t see The Moss!!![emoji28]

i think the answer to your question lies therin…" manfreight drivers" busy poor men…if you can accept working for a slimebag like slowie then there as to be a mental deficiency in there somewhere…i would have thought your watch might have been set to northern Ireland time 30 years behind and then you would have seen the moss clearly on your right hand side as you passed with efs,fodens,f88 and 143 Scania trucks all abandoned outside it as clear as a bell

Big Truck, I have posted many times about the idiotic lorry drivers on the Boat catcher road from the M6 off at Gretna to Dumfries and beyond .
Its 40 mph on that road and unmarked police but if you stick to the speed limit, in no matter of time, there could be about 100 cars behind you which annoys them by sticking to the limit.
Look at the evidence of lorries going off the road by skid marks and holes in the edges and wheels tearing up the farmers field where one has gone over .
I do pull over and let the crack heads pedal to metal it, if you are in their way, they will overtake on a blind summit, around blind bends and in to oncoming traffic, they do not care .

Heard there some craic down the 75 from the 2330Stena and 2400P&O there this morn:
BOTH boats disembarked at same time and the “V8 Tang wolfpack” headed down the road about TWENTY trucks in total together.
BUT,
some poor sod pulling a caravan got out in front not knowing what was thundering up his arse and CHAOS on the CB/road ensued whole way to Dumfries!!![emoji28]
