A66 East currently closed

I forget the name of the cafe / truck stop on the hilltop between M6 and Scotch Corner but the road is shut and probably will be for a while.

Collision investigation were on scene, which usually means it’s serious.

A White Scania was turning right out the cafe onto the Westbound and I assume the driver didn’t see the blue Octavia vRS travelling east. The vRS was wedged between the trailer axles.

Hopefully it’s not a fatal.

Stainmore. No real way around it either other than to go A69 as its basically single track roads on any alternative.

I was last thru the snowgates before they closed… stopped 6 of us at the punchbowl… closed for most of the day…
