The A59 between Skipton and Harrogate will be closed at Blubberhouses until 02 July 2007 due to a landslide

Thats a shame. I have had a nice regular run over to Kendal and have been going Ingleton. Suppose I have to go Keighley then now
If you want to try something different you can go up the 59 - cut right and down into Grassington and back out onto the Skipton Bypass via Cracoe. Would’nt do it in an artic but you should be OK in 4/6/8 wheeler as the quarry lads use those roads.
Update as of this morning it is open again and then was blocked again by a broken down truck. But now it is open to traffic.
