I wondered if anyone can help, i am having a ‘discussion’ with a work mate, does anyone remember the roundabout that was at the junction of dunningsbridge road/netherton way, A5036, just by bootle golfcourse. it has been a traffic light junction for as long as i can remember but my work mate reckons the roundabout was there until about 1995, i dispute this. I would be grateful if any good folks remember when the roundabout was removed.
Hiya …yes it was a roundabout if its where Cory warehousing used to be. it was a bit of a pain as it
was quite small so you couldn’t use it like a duel caridgeway although it was twin track each side of it.
cars used to cut you up going into the roundabout knowing you’d give way to them.
where that Atlantic park is used to be Cory warehousing was, they stored steel coils there in the 70’s,
i,am certain you couldn’t go across the twin track you had to go left leaving Cory go around that roundabout
to go towards the M57.
