today i had the misfortune of geting stuck behind a g logistics truck on the a420,he decided to travel at 35mph for most of the route to oxford peeing off every driver behind,i would think he had a nice trail of about 20 vehicles following him,now i know the speed limit for him is 40mph but in the time i was behind him he launched 2 cigarettes and an apple core out of the window and when i did get past him on dual carrageway he is on his phone,why do richard head drivers like this pick and choose which law to abide by.
Probably because his tacho will be checked by his boss, so he sticks to the speed limit, but no one can check him on his phone. If he is smoking in his cab,and another driver uses the vehicle, then he should be reported.

Hopefully next time you travel the A420 you’ll get an Earthline lorry in front of you; Then you won’t be doing 40mph!
You should try it twice a day we have up to 5 lorries up and down there every day it gets very frustrating

Dont forget the speed limit is 50 mph on the dual carriageway sections as well not 56mph, it seems every driver i meet on that road that sticks religously to the 40mph limit on the single carriageway for some reason ( cos theyre thick as ■■■■ most probably) break the limit on the dual carriageways

My previous TM rang me and told me that a member of the public had complained I was driving too slowly on this road. I asked him what the limit was for an hgv on single c/way, he wouldn’t answer except for “well for car drivers it’s 50 and it is an A road.” Thankfully, I don’t get on this road much now due to weight restrictions close to our quarry. Problem is there are too many lorry drivers who give grief to those that stick to the 40 limit-Turners of Soham spring to mind especially on the A40…

Na, the one that Was opposite the Landy garage, Top of ■■■■■■ hill ?
What ■■■■■■ me off ,was the fact that it was a regular run and i went passed it many a time at +40.
They must of set it for Hgvs for a week or so because a while later i went past it doing 50, pulling a trailer on a Dutch plate and didnt trigger the camera.
Before you ask, it wasnt me that torched it
