Shropshire CC Roadways have announced advance warning of closure of the A41 between the Ternhill Roundabout Market Drayton A41/A53 to the Forton Roundabout at Newport Shropshire effective from July 25th - 2nd September 2023.
The diversion is by A53-A442 towards Telford then the ring road onto the A518 back towards Newport to the Aldi Roundabout. The diversion is roughly 42kms/27 miles.
As a native of Newport this is going to add considerable extra traffic to the diversion route so add extra time or alternatively find an alternative route to M54/A5.
The main traffic this will affect will be those coming from the NW and from the Irish ferries and North Wales.
Signs informing of the closure are being installed this week, you have been warned!!!
