Left Southampton this morning at 0400hrs and up by Newbury some matrix signs said the A34 N/B was closed from the A44 to the M40. Looked on Google Maps and it showed it closed from the B340 turnoff for Weston on the Green.
Anyway when I got up there at about 0530 the road wasn’t closed at all. Does anyone now for certain if there are closures there at night, if so where and when and if you can use the B340 to get up to Cherwell Valley junction?

It’s posted road closed between i think 21:00 or 22:00 till 06:00.
Depending on how the works go depends how long it’s closed for.
I’ve known a clouser from 20:00 till 06:00 but because they’ve been done early the roads open early
Just been past it southbound, got to go back that way, and there’s no access to the m40 from the a34. Diversion isn’t too bad, turn left after the BP garage and follow the road through. It spits you out at Cherwell Valley services.
