Is there a newish 7.5 limit on the a3016 to pick up the A287 at Farnham / vice versa? I seem to recall something earlier in the year, so avoided it this morning and used m3, a331 instead to get to the a31 from Basingstoke.

Either use the A31 to/from the Winchester junction of the M3 or the 331.
Going through Hale is bad enough with a car let alone a truck but the 287 isn’t a bad road other than that.
The problem being that all the M3 alternatives are often now over used because the M3 has been turned into an unfit for purpose basket case by variable limits.
In addition to the laughable A316 into London after it.
Especially bad when the school is kicking out - cars everywhere abandoned.
