Didn’t read the report but looking at the nearside of that wagon it doesn’t look good unfortunately.
Oh ■■■■ that’s just round the corner from me. Denton corner is a bad junction for motor traffic, but usually quite safe for pedestrians as they have no need to cross there as it’s well out of the town and the other side of the road at that point is just fields. At that point all the southbound (in to Newhaven) side of the road has a pavement. And there is no reason for a pedestrian to be on the northbound side of the A26 for miles

It looks like the turning to go towards Iveagh Crescent or straight down to the railway. as Ched says, nobody walks along there unless they’re going to the fields opposite the road to tend to horses.
