A226 Road Collapse Swanscombe

THIS will have a far-reaching effect on the economy of the entire area, and it’s hardly brushing into the news cycle at all…
No point only having “online articles” about it, like the one linked - as the entire housing estate there has lost both it’s water supply and it’s INTERNET.
(The wires and pipes are in pieces on top of the Demolition business Lancebox below)

However, it is the busness yards, among which are many many hauliers - that have no access now to their yards, because the only main road into the industrial area has been cut, leading to at least a long diversion that will be in place for months and years rather than days and weeks…

:frowning:

i used have a regular run to kimberley clark northfleet.
pull into there yard. and theres a cliff maybe 50/100ft high there. looking up you and can see houses pereiously close to the edge.
always thought doesnt look safe to me.
all this rain keep having will eventually erode away the coast line and cliff edges

It might be adding two and two to make five, but the ITV link showing a flooded road caused by, apparently, a badly leaking underground water pipe, and your comments about erosion…
