Bit of a bugger that one ,hope it finishes soon as we do a regular run to Spalding from Newcastle and that diversion adds so much time it meant i had to go into hour 10 by 25 mins last night.It took me up the A46 into Lincoln and then down the A15 to Sleaford back onto the A17.Had i known of the closure i might have come off the A1 earlier and taken the A57 into lincoln.I believe it’s there because of a bad accident the other day involving 3 trucks and a car

Could do but my thinking is that since the diversion takes us through Lincoln then may as well leave the A1 earlier onto the A57 and then the A15 ,seems a more direct route if the A17 is out of action

Depending on what height you’re running at I believe that carrying on down the A1 to the A52 through Grantham and onto the A17 near Boston would be a far quicker route than all the single carriageway stuff your preferred route would put you on. Plus you’ll save the massive toll for Dunham bridge too!

It’s only a 12ft 7.5 tonner and some times a sprinter
