The A14w was shut yesterday between j24 and 23 ,they are mending the bridge and the sign said for 11 weeks. The bloody diversion is miles in fact it took me 55 mins from j24 to brampton services ,normaly about 5 or 6 from j24.

yep had to tip cardinal saturday[i think],took me ages to get back on a1 at stneots,it was solid, mate did cardinal yesterday then had to reload spittals[1 jct up],said it took him ages to do the 5 min normal journey, not the best of diversions

Its going to be shut for the next few weekends, sometimes west bound sometimes east. The official diversion is a long way round, you could leave the A14 at jnc 26 into St Ives following the signs for Houghton & Wyton continue on to Huntingdon on the ringroad and rejoin the A14 at Spittals Jnc 23. Dont use Jnc 24 to go through Huntingdon as there is a weight restriction on the old bridge. Hope this helps.

yes saw on the map about coming off at 26 but was not sure about weight limits around st ives area .also is it only weekend work because the sign said its 11 weeks of work going on,cheers

this is the best diversion and 1 I had to use over the weekend…no way i going the official diversion takes you miles… and yes its on for 11 weeks but will proberbly overrun.looking at the numptys who are working there(I did a tyre on there plant stuff and the driver didnt look quite with it either)

yer wont be taking the offical route again and i really dont like following diversion signs after following one last year and me and four other trucks ended up down a deadend rd ,the local kids had changed the signs about for a laugh ,something i got the hump with at the time but then relised i would have proberly done the same when i was a kid so had to laugh about it but needless to say i get a bit worried when i have to follow the signs lol
