Anybody know what was going on, on the northbound carriageway at around 21.30 Saturday enening between 24 and 23 ?
I was going south and saw an artic stopped with 2 police cars behind him, one marked up the other unmarked, both with their blues going. Further along about a quarter of a mile, behind them there was something across both carriageway covered up that looked like it could have been either a body or a large animal, with what I thought was a HATO vehicle behind that with his light flashing . All traffic was being diverted off at junction 24
Pedestrian hit by the truck, apparently survived, luck chap!

Thanks for the reply Weeto. Was wondering what had happened. It must’ve been his coat or something in the road, or the police had left something there just to mark the position of the injured person.
Seems strange though that they were still holding the truck there at 21.45
I believe, from what i heard on our radio, that police let the truck be driven from scene and not recovered, which suggests driver at no fault??

And rightly so . Can’t blame a driver for hitting something walking along an unlit dual carriageway with no hard shoulder and it wasn’t on a straight section either

They should be done for jaywalking!!
I partly agree Peirrot, but this was in the sunny afternoon. I don’t know any facts so not blaming driver or pedestrian!!
Perhaps the Trucknet CSI team can clear this one up for us??
