No he’s not been yet, all office staff were invited but only Maureen has been there up to now, the whole idea was to have as many A1 employees there as possible John was invited along with Russel Hutchinson, and if Jack Robbi hadn’t been in such a bad way he’d have been there too, but sadly he was too ill so it was not to be, but I know he’d have been there if possible. :-Jack

Bo the Yank he was a great guy I did a few trips with him and he was good company to be with, he lives in Bingley and the last time I spoke to him he was driving for Joda, I have his phone number and will be giving him call to let him know about the next reunion well in time to make sure he knows where to go. :-Jack

Good afternoon men,just viewing the internet when I came across this site on E Bay=Mahoo.Knits4u It has a 6x4 black and white photo of a Volvo Fl 10 reg no E754 SWT in a one livery present bid 85pence!
Are all you guy’s still asleep or still over the limit from Christmas and new year, everything has gone quiet for over a week so I’ll start with the request I put in an few weeks ago for ideas for the next reunion, when, where, and who to invite, it was suggested that we made it a joint effort to have drivers and staff from other companies from the area, I think it’s a good idea but I need input from as many people on this website as we can get, to make it work and I’m prepared to use as many contacts as I have to call and email them but I need to have info from you all.
So shake your heads clear of thoughts of drinking alcohol for a few minuets, put the knife and fork down and rattle ideas and send them on this website.

The way it works is that you obtain the haulage work by entering an auction on line. There are quite a few people taking part and prices are cut to the bone by chancers who have no idea how to price a job and often lose money on it. So if you want a laugh= Shipping Wars on 4 seven channel tuesday at 7 pm !!!

Not to worry Keith, work has to come first even if it’s helping fitters over the phone, but Les and a couple of us keep trying and keep it alive.
I just had a smashing time with Dave Smith and Billy Parkinson, they came up for a visit had a good laugh a good old natter just like we do at the reunions, it made my Birthday worth the while after yesterday, and I can tell you nothing has changed them both, still the same fun and a joy to be with just like it was at work, but supping tea instead of beer, so it has made me realize that the sooner we get another reunion on the cards the better even if we do talk rubbish and spill diesel all over the floor, it’s what keeps us together. Hi “maxhagar”, I saw it too it was just by chance I turned it over, it also made me realize that the way Transport was run in our time was far better, not as many “cowboys” who have no idea of transport what-so-ever, no wonder our industry went down the pan when fools like them were allowed to operate and steel work from experienced transport companies, the only thing the program did was to highlight what a load of cowboys are on our roads, I’m not one who likes rules and regulations at all, but these people need the book throwing at them and there licences taken away.
Well that’s my opinion any way, and I’m sticking with it. :-Jack
